Orono Elementary Pto

The mission of the Orono PTO is to enhance the educational programs offered to Orono K-5 students through volunteering and fundraising.

The Orono Elementary PTO is sponsoring a Read-A-Thon to raise funds for the Schumann Elementary and Orono Intermediate School.

The money raised from the Read-A-Thon is directed toward field trips, grade-level specific books or supplies, and subject-specific (art, music, computers) curriculum enhancement. The PTO works with the principals to determine funding priorities each year. Recent priorities have included classroom technology and outdoor playground enhancements. 

A fundraiser that also encourages students to read is a successful combination for our school.

The Orono PTO is a recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  Because there are no goods or services going to the sponsor, it is 100% tax-deductible.
