Northwest Community Action, Inc.

Northwest Community Action, Inc. serves Roseau, Kittson, Marshall, and Lake of the Woods counties in Northwest Minnesota. 

Our Mission is to stimulate a focusing of all available resources upon the goal of enabling low-income families and individuals of all ages to attain skills, knowledge and motivations and secure the opportunities needed for them to become self-sufficient.

Programs like Head Start, Little Brother /Little Sister and Team EPIC provide prevention, intervention, and education to families and youth leading to increased self-sufficiency and decreased social emotional issues. 

A variety of Family Service Department Programs provide outreach and assist with homeless prevention, car repairs, food insecurity and financial literacy. 

The Energy Assistance and Weatherization Programs assist qualifying individuals with heat costs, furnace repair and replacement, and weatherization repairs and installations for increased energy efficiency. 

Housing and Community Development Programs assist individuals and families repair their homes and beatify blighted neighborhoods and communities.
