Empower Youth with Autism: Support MORA’s Discover Summer Camp!
This November 1st through November 21st, join us in making a difference for youth with Autism by donating to Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA) Discover Summer Camp. Every gift will be matched dollar for dollar because of a generous donation from the Board of Directors.
Since its inception in 2008, Discover Summer Camp has provided a vital lifeline for families facing the unique challenges that summer can bring. Established in response to a community need identified by Carver County Social Services, this six-week camp offers a safe, structured environment tailored specifically for youth aged 9-16 with Autism. Many of our campers have struggled to find acceptance and support in traditional programs, but here, they thrive!
At our picturesque Victoria, MN campus on Schutz Lake, trained counselors create an engaging experience through individualized programming that resonates with each camper's interests and needs. With a low counselor-to-camper ratio, our dedicated staff—including behavioral analysts and on-site nursing—ensures every participant receives the attention they deserve.
Each week features exciting themes like "World of Gaming," "Making Music," and "LEGO™ Master Builder," providing both fun and educational opportunities. Our goal is not just to offer summer activities but to foster growth, connection, and joy in a supportive setting.
To continue this essential program, we rely on the generosity of our community. The cost for one week of camp is $1500, but we only charge families $800. Additionally, because of donations, we provide scholarships to ensure that every child can attend, regardless of their family’s financial situation. Your support allows us to offer scholarships, helping families who might otherwise be unable to afford this enriching experience.
Discover Summer stands out as a leader in the Twin Cities, consistently adapting our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our campers. We have never turned a child away due to financial need, and in 2023, we welcomed 65 campers, who flourished in our inclusive environment. This Give to the Max Day, we invite you to be a part of this heartwarming mission. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of young individuals with Autism, providing them with opportunities for growth, friendship, and happiness during the summer months.
Join us in ensuring that every child has the chance to discover their potential at MORA’s Discover Summer. Together, we can make a lasting difference!
