Mounds View Community Theater

Mounds View Community Theater, now in our 35th year.

Your financial contribution to MVCT will directly support high-quality, musical theater for audience members of all ages.
The time and talents of hundreds of volunteers complete the live theater experience.
Some of the costs of this endeavor include royalties and script and music rental of thousands of dollars. MVCT must rent the theater, rehearsal space, and back stage areas for each hour used. The artistic and music directors, choreographer, costumer, set and sound designers, stage manager and rehearsal pianists are all compensated for their time and talent.
The costumer and set designer each have a budget to pay for materials and rented items.
Props that can't be created, found, borrowed or made must be rented or purchased.
Ticket sales pay for less than 75% of the production budget.
Exhaustive measures are taken by volunteers to raise funds during community events by sponsoring Bingo games, selling refreshments, ad sales for our production program and sponsors for each of our performances.
Grant dollars are sought each year to help maintain our high standards
We also provide accommodations for our hearing and visually impaired patrons when requested in advance.
