Domestic abuse is a public health and safety crisis that affects us all, but...
when one child heals, a whole family begins to heal. And when a family heals, a whole community becomes safer.
Give to the Max - and help healing ripple all across Minnesota.
At Domestic Abuse Project (DAP), we provide mental health therapy and supportive services to stop the cycle of violence. Last year alone, we delivered over 13,500 services for children and adults impacted by abuse - from trauma therapy, to intervention & prevention therapy, to assistance with safety plans, basic needs, and more.
Without early intervention like ours, a child exposed to abuse is 10x more likely to abuse a partner in adulthood, or 6x more likely to be abused, as a child who grows up in safety.
Healing happens at DAP, where the evidence-based programming we developed over 46 years has the power to save lives - but faced with deep funding cuts, we need your financial support to keep going.
Every dollar makes a difference! And we spend less than 14% of our budget on operating expenses, so you can be sure the lion's share of your contribution will go directly to serving families.
$100 can help cover a child's first therapy session.
$240 can help DAP provide a healthy meal for the child survivors enrolled in group therapy.
$1,500 can provide 10 group sessions of DAP's Victim Survivor therapy program - plus childcare at our DAP Care Center, so children are safe while their parent is in therapy.
Your gift can rewrite a child's story - and ripple through our community for generations to come. Please donate now.
