At Miss Angie's Place, we harness the power of art, nature, education and well-being to help kids of all ages grow and connect. Since 2021, we've been creating a creative, nurturing space for Pine Island and southeastern Minnesota, and we rely on donor support to keep our mission alive. Join us in making a difference!

How We Serve Our Community

🎒 After School Academy:  We provide a safe and nurturing after-school space for 3rd-8th graders, focusing on mentorship and personal development.

🌿 Getting Kids Outdoors:  Through programs like Naturescapes, Geocaching, 1,000 Hours Outside, and Leave No Trace, we immerse kids in nature to foster environmental appreciation and responsibility.

🎨 Creative Arts:  Our art programs encourage creativity and self-expression, welcoming everyone from toddlers and their caregivers to homeschoolers and students of all ages.

❤️ Compassionate Outreach:  Our students bring joy to local nursing home residents by sharing their time, compassion, and even our friendly rabbits.

🤲🏽 Community Engagement: We actively participate in and facilitate community events across Pine Island, Rochester, and surrounding areas.

Celebrating Our 2024 Milestones

🏢 Expanded our New Space:  Our expanded space is bursting with fun and learning! Explore our veggie garden, lively chicken coop, and versatile outdoor area. Inside, enjoy creative art stations, toddler toys, and work tables for homework or crafts. With endless games and projects, every visit is a new adventure! 

🌟 Scholarships:  We granted After School Academy scholarships to three students, ensuring they have the support they need for a successful 2024-25 school year.

☀️ Unforgettable Summer Camps:  We successfully ran a full summer of children’s nature and art camps, creating memories and learning experiences that will last a lifetime.

🎭 Community Musical:  We produced and hosted our second kid’s musical – a true testament to the power of creativity and community.

Our (BIG) Future Goals

♿ Handicap Accessibility: Fully upgrading our building to be handicap accessible, including a new main floor bathroom for added convenience for all students and visitors.

🚐 Student Transportation: Acquiring a larger passenger van to ensure safe and reliable transportation for our students.

🎓 Expanded Student Scholarships: Boosting our scholarship fund so every child can participate in our programs, breaking down financial barriers and opening doors to valuable opportunities.
