Create a Strong Future: Support Student Pharmacists Advancing Patient Care!
This year's 160 student pharmacists at the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities and Duluth campuses are superstars supporting over 13 patient care projects ranging from Operations Diabetes, Heart and Immunizations to Projects Breath and Chance that have reached millions of Minnesotans to advance patient care. Yet, these future pharmacists often graduate with more than $120,000 in loans to support their education. Since 2003, MPF has awarded more than $35,000 in annual scholarships to student pharmacists at the University of Minnesota campuses in Duluth and Minneapolis to support their education and community outreach projects. Please join us in this endeavor as MPF collaborates with and supports the profession of pharmacy for the enrichment of public health.
We have more than three times as many requests as we are able to fund. These worthy student pharmacists have helped bring the Meth Watch program to Minnesota to educate consumers and retailers on meth awareness, and created the AWARxE campaign to educate communities and individuals on the dangers of prescription and over-the-counter drug misuse and abuse. The Minnesota Pharmacists Foundation is dedicated to supporting initiatives and programs important to the profession of pharmacy today and in the future. MPF is committed to working in partnership with, and on behalf of, pharmacists and industry partners around the state of Minnesota.
