Vision Statement

MNDBC aspires to be the flagship dragon boat club in Minnesota, fostering community, compassion, challenge, and competition through sport and teamwork.

Mission Statement

The Minnesota Dragon Boat Club (MNDBC) and its members are ambassadors of the international sport of dragon boat racing.  We strive to provide education, training and competition for a medley of paddlers and experience levels, centering on opportunities for cancer survivors and those touched by cancer.  We support our community through education and wellness promotion, and sharing our guiding principles of competition, challenge, compassion and community.

Guiding principles:

• Community: We provide opportunities and give back to our broader community by emphasizing the role that exercise and physical fitness have in disease prevention and management.
• Compassion: We provide an opportunity to paddle to everyone. We minimize barriers to participation. All are welcome.
• Challenge: We move out of our comfort zone and try new activities on and off the water.
• Competition: We seek athletic camaraderie in the dragon boating and paddling world through appropriate opportunities.
