Who We Are

Minnesota Atheists is Minnesota's oldest and largest atheist organization. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization that seeks to promote the positive contributions of atheism to society and to maintain separation of state and church.

We have a board of nine who make the decisions on where funds are allocated. To become a board member, one must be a dues-paying member in good standing and be voted in by the dues-paying membership. If you’re not already a member, please consider signing up at our website. Minnesota Atheists has hundreds of dues-paying members (including 55 life members) and has many more followers on social media such as Meetup.com and Facebook.com.

Donations cover operating expenses for our community-building events. They also allow us to do outreach at events where religious groups dominate, such as Twin Cities Pride, and where many nonbelieving families with children gather, such as CONvergence.
