Minnesota 1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team

Minnesota-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team is a group of 100+ medical volunteers who can be deployed by HHS to assist at any disaster.

When we receive the call to deploy, the members of MN-1 DMAT (Minnesota-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team) grab our prepacked bags, call our employers, kiss the spouse and kids goodbye and are at the airport in 8 hours or less. Setting up portable hospitals, we are able to offer medical care to survivors of disasters anywhere.

Hurricanes Ike, Rita, and Katrina have required the deployment of our these hit-the-ground-running healthcare professionals and their amazing logistical support staff. Our team has people from around the state who work for all types of businesses, but they all come together with one goal in mind when they train or deploy -- Show up, set up and deliver the best healthcare possible in some of the least hospitable conditions.
