Minisinaakwaang Leadership Academy

Our mission is to prepare today's youth with academic excellence to meet tomorrow's challenges in a culturally based environment and community.

At the Minsinaakwaang Leadership Academy we believe that every child can learn and has the right to do so at their own pace. We believe that learning is a continuum rather than a series of steps.

We are located in McGregor, MN and are within District 2 of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Reservation.

The majority of our students are Native American but it is not a requirement for enrollment. 

Because we are a charter school, our very success relies on fundraising and grant dollars. We offer general studies in Math, Social Studies, Science, English and Physical Education. We also offer Ojibwe Language and Culture. 

Additional funding would provide opportunities such as art, music, extra curricular activities and better field trips. Our Nutrition Program would also benefit from having a broad variety of healthy options for students.
