Montessori American Indian Childcare Center (MAICC) in St. Paul, MN is a trusted childcare center that focuses on a culturally unique and holistic approach to lifelong learning. We are a high-quality and educational Montessori preschool providing early childhood learning opportunities for children. Our goal is to let families witness their children blossom into independent, conscientious, and well-rounded individuals. MAICC is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Educational Institution, a Childcare Center Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), a Four-Star Parent Minnesota Aware-Rated Program, & an Association Montessori International (AMI) Recognized School. We are the only Native Montessori in the state of Minnesota & the only Native-led preschool in Ramsey County.
Our Programs include:
- Children's House: 8:30- 4:30 Monday-Friday full preschool program for ages 3-6.
- Prenatal to Three (P23) Family Nest: drop-in play dates on Tuesdays for families with children birth-3 years, educational programming provided.
- Economic Mobility Hub: families receive holistic support services including integrated service delivery & referrals between partner organizations as well as family coaching.
- Dual Training Program: paid diploma or early childhood credentials paired with on-the-job paid training to increase the amount of Native early childhood educators in the state
- Indigenous People's Weekend: the largest Native-led basketball expo in Minnesota supports American Indian children, families, & businesses as a public health event.
