Join Us in Shaping the Soundtrack of Our Community!

Music is a universal language that unites us, and at MacPhail, we are harnessing its power to transform lives. From creative uses for music therapy to empowering youth to discover their authentic voice, our work fosters a more connected and vibrant community. Your donation will help ensure that music education remains accessible to all, providing essential resources or covering tuition for students in need. Your support makes a meaningful impact.

Give Today and Write the Next Measure of Our Community’s Song.

Help Build Stronger Communities Through Music

At the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, 16-year-old James volunteers every week, sharing the power of music with children in crisis. James plays songs like "The Wheels on the Bus" to help calm and comfort kids facing homelessness and domestic violence.

“By the time I left, a little boy who was crying was singing along with everyone.”— James, MacPhail Scholarship Student

Your donation helps create moments like this—where music heals, comforts, and connects.

Music Therapy in Action: Transforming Lives

In Austin, Minnesota, music therapist Emma Evans-Peck works with 13-year-old Ezra, teaching him to play the Halloween theme song. Through their sessions, Emma is not just teaching music; she’s helping Ezra develop problem-solving and coping skills.

"He’s now able to redirect himself at school using what he’s learned through music therapy.”— Ezra’s mother

Empowering Youth, Amplifying Voices

In North Minneapolis, MacPhail’s Project Amplify is empowering youth through music and mentorship. Terrell Woods, MacPhail Artist in Residence, teaches young students how to beatbox, rap, and express themselves creatively.

“I’m helping youth find their authentic voice and creating spaces where they feel heard and valued.”— Terrell Woods, MacPhail Artist in Residence

Your support makes a real difference in students’ lives. Here are some ways your donation could help provide vital resources and opportunities:

  • $100 could provide student learning essentials like sheet music, an orchestra piece, music stands, and more.
  • $250 might help cover the cost of an instrument rental for a student for the school year.
  • $500 could contribute to financial assistance, making lessons more affordable for families in need.
  • $750 allows us to offer learning experiences like the MacPhail Northside Youth Orchestra and Community Youth Choir to students at no cost.
  • $1,700 could provide financial assistance for a student to attend both fall and spring semesters.
  • $2,500 could cover the full tuition for one student for an entire year.

Every gift brings us closer to our goal of making music education accessible to all. Thank you for your generosity!
