Lyricality

Hurt people hurt people. Pain, suffering, and trauma cause neighbors, community members, and even family members to turn away from and  against each other. 

That's where Lyricality comes in. We are surrounding our communities with authentic, meaningful support for people to transform hurts into compassion and care for each other. 

We are a young, grass-roots organization offering artful public spaces of inclusive belonging where everyone is welcome. Our unique (intercultural, intergenerational, anti-racist) approach of combining art-making with mindfulness and open-hearted hospitality is having powerful impact in Central MN. People of all ages, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, abilities, and genders create, dream, love, and socialize together with kindness. 

A father attended our recent Folk 2 Folks festival celebrating poetry, song, story, and art with his neurodiverse daughter in her early teens and told us it was the first time they had ever felt included, seen, valued, and free to be themselves in a public space. We're not trying to get people to choose sides in a battle. We're tending people's need to connect to their creativity and to each other, because we know that whatever we pay attention to will grow.

We need $2,000 to seed our organizational development, to sustain our work for the long haul. 

Your donation will help us pay artists (poets, musicians, painters and mixed-media) and healers (social workers, life coaches and therapists), as well as to cover communications expenses (internet and phone bills) so we can keep our programs and events accessible and free to everyone.
