LAMP-kinship Litchfield Area Mentorship Program

Help us in supporting youth to THRIVE through building RELATIONSHIPS through MENTORING!

LAMP-Kinship has been providing positive role models for youth in the Litchfield area since 2007.  Our mission is to connect youth with caring adults by promoting a relationship that provides mentoring, support, friendship, and guidance.  We want our youth to have support in reaching their full potential by forming a meaningful relationship with a caring, adult who is a friend, role model and part of their support system.  We match adult volunteer mentors with youth, ages of 5-17, who may benefit from additional support, guidance, and friendship.  Any donation made to LAMP through giveMN.org will go directly towards efforts to find mentors for our waiting youth and to support our current matches.   

When asked, what is the best thing about having a Kinship friend, one of LAMP's youth stated, "They are like my true friends."

  Another LAMP youth said that they enjoy having something to look forward to each week.

One of LAMP's mentors said that she sees the relationship as mutually beneficial.  She can't imagine her life without her mentee in it. 

We also offer monthly group activities for our youth and mentors.  It is so fun to get together as a group; everyone really enjoys being together!  Many of the activities we do are a new opportunity for many of our youth.  These group activities also provide opportunities for our waiting youth to be exposed to positive role modeling and activities, as well as a feeling of belonging.
