Le Sueur County Historical Society's goal for 2024 Give to the Max Day is raising funds to support the Elysian Museum.
Located in Elysian, MN, The LCHS project for the purpose of Give MN is to help fund the renovation of the windows on the Elysian Museum. This grant will be submitted in 2025.
By raising funds during Give to the Max Day, will help preserve the 130 year School building. The restoration of the School house began a few years ago. It is a 3 stage process. We are in stage 2. Stage 1 was to restore the roof & bell tower among several other things. Part of stage 2 is the renovation of the windows along with much work to be done on the interior of the building.
