Lakeside Cemetery Foundation

A nonprofit organization

$1,400 raised

Lakeside Cemetery is situated on fifty-eight acres on serene Lake George in Fairmont, Minnesota.  The Lakeside Cemetery was originally part of the homestead of George Tanner, an early Martin County settler for whom the lake is named. The first recorded burial here was in 1868 and the the Lakeside Cemetery Association was formally created in 1871. It is a beautiful resting place that has been sustained by generations of generous benefactors who help support the Association in not only financial ways, but through volunteering their time to help trim and mow the grass and maintain the beautiful trees. Those who permanently rest at Lakeside have trusted us, the living, to honor and preserve their resting place just as we will trust subsequent generations to do the same. Lakeside Cemetery Foundation has recently been given a 501 (C3) status so we are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests and gifts. Please remember us when doing your estate planning, especially in lieu of flowers for memorial gifts.
