Minnesota Division Izaak Walton League

The Izaak Walton League Minnesota Division works to protect our soil, air, woods, waters, and wildlife.

Since 1922, the Izaak Walton League has worked to practice wise stewardship of the land and its resources; to know the beauty of nature and understand its value; and fought for this heritage for the benefit of this and future generations. Our 16 regional chapters provide grassroots, local  leadership in 
conservation.  

We sponsor educational programs, provide scholarships for youth, restore wetlands and forests, and lobby at the state and federal levels to defend our key priorities:   

• Clean Water
  • Defending against sulfide-ore copper mining in NE MN
  • Upper Mississippi River Initiative
  • Great Lakes Protection
• Climate and Energy
  • Supporting individual and local community education and action on energy
  • Conservation and renewable energy
  • Supporting and creating a new energy infrastructure
• Habitat and Wildlife
  • Pollinators
    
  • Forests
  • Wetlands
