Icettes Booster Club

The Icettes Booster Club supports the Icettes District 196 Figure Skating Team, a High School Varsity Figure Skating team representing Independent School District 196.  We have just begun the 2021-2022 season with 40 figure skaters from our area high schools: Rosemount High School, Eastview High School, Eagan High School, Apple Valley High School and the School of Environmental Studies and the ISD 196 Middle Schools.  

The Icettes Team is  the only High School Figure skating team in Minnesota and is on its 46th year.  It's a great program for 7th-12th grade ISD 196 students who love to skate, make friends and help in the community.

The Icettes season begins in November and ends in March with an Ice Show spectacular.   In order to compete against teams with similar skill levels, the team participates in the Frosty Blades Competition (a local event) and the Ice Sports Industry Winter Classic (a national competition).   The team will travel  to San Jose, California for the 2022 Winter Classic competition.    

Usual fundraising activities were restricted due to the pandemic. Very limited funding from the school district has resulted in significantly higher booster club fee. Travel out of state may be uncertain.   

Proceeds will be used to offset the Booster Club expenses such as competition fees, administration fees, and team building activities.  Our goal is to keep the individual costs as low as possible to overcome financial barriers in sports participation.
