Hope Center

By supporting HOPE Center you are helping to invest in the vision of a Violence-Free Rice County.

We provide options, help, healing and assistance to those who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault. Every day we provide HOPE- Healing Outreach Prevention and Education. We work to create safer environments and promote healing for our community.  We serve all of Rice County and all of our services are free and confidential.  Almost a quarter of our funding comes from individuals in the community who believe in what we do.  

Rather than list out the services we provide I thought it would be more meaningful for you to hear from one of our clients:

The HOPE Center services played a very important role in my families welfare. I went to the support groups they provided; that helped in my personal well being. I was provided with support emotionally from the caring staff.  I was provided with a great deal of information. I was in contact with an advocate from the first minute I walked through the door.  Through the staff of the center someone was at my side at all court proceedings; someone was there to explain the legal aspects of what the court ordered.  My family was treated with dignity, respect and confidentiality.

The phone was always answered at any hour; it helped me to know someone was on the other end to help me through my crises. My questions were all answered and I was reassured the help I needed would be provided. I was provided with a safe advocate to spend time with my child during court proceedings. I was helped with making contact with the appropriate agencies, which services I would most benefit from. The help and support of the HOPE Center made a very big difference in my life.  In doing so it helped my family stay strong and supportive of each other. It helped my family crises go from being overwhelming and stressful to being under control and taken care of. 

I believe the HOPE Center plays a very big role in the lives of many families in Rice County. They work well with the agencies and know how to provide the best services for each individual person.  They provide the support a family needs in a time of crises which other agencies just don’t have the time or the personal to provide.They are able to give you the time you need to talk to someone and help you understand everything you are going through. They provide updated information and legal information in ways an average person can understand and us. Thank you.
