About Us 

Homeward Bound was founded in 1973 by families searching for an alternative to placing their children in an institution. Homeward Bound provides support which values the competence, strengths, and desires our each individual. Each person is encouraged and empowered to develop skills and capabilities needed to increase self-reliance and enhance quality of life. We currently have 22 homes in the Twin Cities and 91 individuals with varied abilities in our care.
