HOME Line provides legal, organizing, education and advocacy services so that tenants throughout Minnesota can solve their own problems.

Celebrating 25 Years of Service

HOME Line's tenant hotline began in 1992, and now serve the entire state of Minnesota. Our services are also available in Spanish, Somali and Hmong.

Each year, the Tenant hotline helps over 15,000 rental households, prevents over 1,000 evictions, and helps renters recover nearly $2 million in wrongfully withheld deposits or rent abatements.

Since 1997, HOME Line has helped preserve more than 10,000 units of affordable housing.  We have also adapted our organizing work with renters to prevent the loss of affordable market-rate housing and to respond to emergency and substandard housing situations.

HOME Line has influenced a variety of legislation through building tenant leadership into local, state, and federal efforts.
