Our faculty, staff and administration are dedicated to providing an enriching educational experience in a family-like environment that is simply not found in a traditional public school setting.

Our students enjoy the differences between HCPA and a traditional public school. HCPA’s environment virtually eliminates the cultural and social barriers faced by many of our students in their previous school.  As one student stated, “No one is a loner here.”  In addition, HCPA offers our students a wide array of MN State High School League-sanctioned sports, activities and clubs in which to get involved.

HCPA students experience Hmong culture through the arts, holiday celebrations, three levels of Hmong language instruction and “Asian food being offered everyday!”  They gain a global perspective on how they fit in the world through:

A focus on college and beyond

The HCPA faculty and staff provide the individual attention needed to prepare all students for a post-secondary education. We offer a wide range of opportunities to explore and investigate options after high school including:

• Annual college fairs, ACT & SAT preparation, career fair, financial aid and scholarship help as well as visits to top colleges & universities starting in 4thgrade.  
• College Prep, CIS (College in the Schools), AP (Advanced Placement) and Honors-level courses
• Access to state-of-the-art technology labs, 1:1 computer ratio and completely wireless campus
• Our Yale Summer Institute...provides participants with a hands-on college search and selection experience.  Students partner with undergraduate interns from Yale University—one of the most world’s most prestigious universities

The Result:  In 2013 84 % of HCPA seniors were accepted into their top choice post-secondary educational institution!
