ABOUT HEAD OF THE LAKES UNITED WAY

For over 100 years, Head of the Lakes United Way has worked to strengthen our communities by uniting people and resources. We are striving to improve the health, education, and financial stability of EVERY person in EVERY community we serve.  

We do this work through our Community Investment Process, which currently provides funding to nearly 70 programs at community partners across our service area, as well as through our internal programs and initiatives. Our internal programs focus on connecting community members to the resources available to them and connecting volunteers to the organizations that need their help. Beyond these programs, we’re helping our partners fill the gaps they experience by creating new and renewed initiatives around training community members to serve on boards of directors, appreciating volunteers for the work they do, and offering training to nonprofit staff.
