Highpoint Center for Printmaking

A nonprofit organization

Highpoint Center for Printmaking is a place where artists gather, where people make using centuries-old techniques, where artists grow and experiment, where students gain inspiration, where we fall in love with printmaking, where we challenge our skills, and where we build community.

Since 2001, Highpoint has been a unique art center in Minnesota where visitors, artists, students, collectors, and the community can come together to create, develop skills, and learn about printmaking. With over two decades of educational arts programming, Highpoint continues to provide artist opportunities, workshops, and state-of-the-art print facilities to grow access to the printmaking arts in Minnesota and beyond!

We owe a sincere thank you to all our members, artists, and contributors on all levels. Community engagement truly makes this possible. Learn more about one-time donations, membership, and other ways you can help us sustain print programming. Thank you for being here and for your generous support!

"What drew me to Highpoint was their state-of-the-art studio, availability of many different printmaking styles, and a clear commitment to diversity and community. "
-Jasper Duberry, Full Color Print Fellow and co-op member

"Highpoint provides so many great programs. The educator in me has a heart for all education-related programs. Anything that helps folks learn about and experience printmaking gets me excited. Being able to teach at HP is always so rewarding; I love to engage with students." - Grace Sippy, McKnight Printmaking Fellow

“Being a co-op member of Highpoint has profoundly impacted my mind and soul,  providing me with invaluable access to a vibrant artistic community and resources that have enriched my practice. The collaborative environment has allowed me to learn from fellow artists, expand my technical skills, and refine my creative vision." Melissa Sisk, co-op member

READ MORE ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMS:

Since 2001, Highpoint has engaged over 100,000 students, hosted 200+ exhibitions, has 350 co-op members, published over 800 unique prints and editions by 40 artists, and partnered with 100+ schools—that is all to say that we are a community space where education, conversations, and fine art printing happen under one roof!

YOUTH AND ADULT WORKSHOPS
Highpoint serves thousands of K-12 Minnesota youth each year through printmaking fieldtrips, and hosts adult workshops in the evenings and weekends.

ARTIST SUPPORT PROGRAMS
Highpoint supports artists through the Jerome Early Career Residency Program, the McKnight Printmaking Fellowship for mid-career artists, and the Full Color Print Fellowship and Teaching Artist Learning Community for BIPOC artists. These programs provide a monetary stipend, access to the Highpoint co-op space, exhibition opportunities, technical support, and more.

PRINT EXHIBITIONS
Highpoint Galleries annually feature work from each of Highpoint’s studio programs, and showcase work from other national and international artists through curated and juried exhibitions.

HIGHPOINT EDITIONS
A visiting artist program where professional artists collaborate with the printshop staff to expand their practice and create new works in print, many for the first time.

HIGHPOINT'S CO-OP
The co-op has been a core part of HP’s mission since its founding in 2001.  Co-op artists gain access to HP's printmaking facilities, equipment, and storage, receive discounts on classes, and benefit from mutual feedback and support, encouraging individual artistic growth and contributing to a sense of community.
