Hayward Community Food Shelf Inc

Founded in 1985, our mission is to provide food for those in need in an efficient, compassionate and non-judgemental manner.

The Hayward Community Food Shelf is funded solely by donations from individuals, businesses, churches and civic organizations. No government funds are received. All board members and staff are volunteers. In 2008, we provided a three day supply of food to over 500 families. In 2009, the number of families served has continued to increase and by year end, we will have distributed over 80,000 pounds of food.
