Happy Dancing Turtle: Growing Good Stewards

Through education and collaboration, with sustainability and resilience at the heart, Happy Dancing Turtle has focused on growing good stewards of the planet since 2006. We believe inspiration and empowerment are critical elements in the change-making process for youth and adults. From soil health and regenerative agriculture to nature play and environmental education we aim to provide programs, experiences, and learning that changes lives.

Happy Dancing Turtle directly serves two regions: Northern Lakes, based in Pine River, MN and Driftless, based in Winona, MN. In each area we provide impactful youth programming in multiple settings. From community locations like libraries, schools and public nature spaces our programs are designed to foster a love of playing in and caring for the natural environment. Furthermore, time in nature has cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development benefits. 

Each of these programs are subsidized in order to make them more accessible.
