Preserving Ham Lake and combating Aquatic Invasive Species since 2013
Ham Lake Lake Association (a 501(c)3) was established by lake shore owners to preserve the quality and health of the lake for natural and recreational use by all who live on and visit Ham Lake. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Ham Lake is located in Anoka County. In 2013 two invasive aquatic plants were discovered in the lake 1) Eurasian Milfoil 2) Curly-leaf Pondweed. We are bringing awareness, educating and fundraising for the ongoing maintenance of these invasive species as they can be controlled but not eradicated. Treatment of one or both species can range from $5000 - $13,000 annually depending on the infestation and maintenance needed. We work closely with the watershed district and the DNR to establish a long-term lake plan and to report lake changes and concerns. If you want more information on our efforts please email us.
