Great River Coalition

Together, we seek to enhance the Minneapolis riverfront environment—for people and pollinators alike.

The Great River Coalition advocates for initiatives and policies that consider the historical, commercial, spiritual, and environmental significance of one of the Twin Cities' greatest assets: the mighty Mississippi. In doing so, we bring awareness to the vital role pollinators play in the health of our riverfront communities.

Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk/River Cleanup, Boom Island Park, Minneapolis, in the only National Park offering scenic views of the Mississippi River! Family-friendly and dogs welcome on a course that travels through one of the city's most historic and naturally beautiful areas. Before and following the 5K learn about efforts to protect pollinators, and enjoy live music, entertainment, and Earth Day festivities. Take part in an organized river cleanup. Save our bees and their habitat by participating in this National movement!

As a member-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we rely wholly on support from our members, donors, volunteers, and sponsors. Your tax-deductible contribution will help us further our work in two specific areas:

1) Educating the public about the plight of pollinators through outreach and community-focused events

2) Advocating for the creation and preservation of pollinator-friendly habitat.
