Gather and Grow Food Shelf - Waconia & Watertown

 Gather and Grow, formerly known as Waconia United Food Shelf serves over 300 households and over 21,000 pounds of food a month on average.  We proudly help families living in Carver county have groceries for their families.  We are designated as a choice food shelf, meaning that clients take a shopping cart and peruse the aisles like any customer in a grocery store. The only difference is that instead of paying for food at the checkout, it is simply weighed and given to them at no cost. 

We are a 501-C3 Non-profit that fully operates on donations and grant funds.  We provide perishable and non-perishable food, pet food, diapers, baby formula, personal care items, household items, and more to those in need.  The local food shelf is operated by two staff members and over 100 volunteers including board members, shopping shift workers, and delivery persons.
