Frogtown is growing greener!
Climate change poses a looming threat to our scrappy, diverse community, and we are determined to meet it with resilience and joy.
We began as a campaign to create Frogtown Park & Farm—St Paul's first and only city park with an embedded 5-acre organic farm. We've grown into a community-wide initiative to make Frogtown the greenest neighborhood in St Paul!
Today, 15 years in, we're meeting the challenge of climate change in dozens of ways.
We manage multiple gardens for immigrant and BIPOC farmers. We've planted fruit and shade trees—over 1,200 of them!— in residents' yards and public spaces.
We're building the Bee Line, St Paul's longest pollinator-friendly garden; a 2.5 mile stretch of Minnesota native flowers and home for the endangered state bumblebee, the rusty-patch.
We've hosted dozens of events boosting clean energy, transit and local solutions, and we've offered thousands of hours of nature workshops to Frogtown kids and families.
We do it all on a shoestring budget, massively powered by volunteer energy, hard work and love.
We need funds to boost that power, and to strengthen our struggle for environmental justice. The harshest impacts of climate change are already being felt in Frogtown.
We know how to prepare ourselves for climate change, but we need your support.
Help us power a green future for Frogtown. Thank you!
