At the Ramsey County Library Friends (Friends) our mission is to strengthen, support and advocate for Ramsey County Library's (RCL) seven-branch library system. As an independent nonprofit, the Friends invest in libraries through fundraising, advocacy, and programming so that they, and the communities they serve, thrive.

The Friends have initiated, funded, enhanced, or expanded programs for all ages including the Summer Reading Program, Kindergarten Library Card Sign Up Party, translation services, drop-in computer and tech classes, a weekly teen maker space, Take Me Home projects and racial equity programming. We have also made substantial additions to the collection of library books and e-materials and conducted capital campaigns for library construction or remodeling.
