Friends of the Library Support Local Library

The Ortonville Friends of the Library Foundation was organized to raise funds to make our Carnegie Library handicapped accessible.  The library was remodeled in 1997.  Since that time the Friends have continued to support the library by purchasing shelving, book bins, World Book Encyclopedias, supported the Summer Reading Program, purchased maker kits for the children, and have provided assistance whenever visiting authors or other programs are held in the library.  As a rural and small library, there are always needs.  Funding for programs and summer reading are essential.  We offer a Lego building club and a Robotics group.  We started a Doodler program during the summer reading program last year.

We have three book clubs for adults going now with the  Tasty Book Club which meets at one of the local cafes.
