Friends of the Duluth Public Library

 The Friends of the Duluth Public Library is a membership-based organization that assists with the development and promotion of the Duluth Public Library and advocates for its importance in the community. We support and cooperate with the Library to enhance library services, facilities, activities, and programs for the community. The Friends host many fundraising events throughout the year including the Annual Book Sale in June. All contributions given to the Friends of the Duluth Public Library on Give to the Max Day and throughout the year benefit our three library locations. The Friends of the Library provides the majority of funding for programs and events for community members of all ages. Popular programs include the summer and winter reading programs, scavenger hunts, craft programs, game nights and the summer Kaleidoscope series for kids that takes place in the Main Library plaza. Donations are also used to purchase books and other items to further enhance the library’s collection. All donations are tax deductible.
