The Friends of the Duluth Public Library is a membership-based organization that assists with the development and promotion of the Duluth Public Library and advocates for its importance in the community.

The Friends are a group of people interested in the Duluth Public Library. We work to bring attention to library services, facilities, and needs. We support and cooperate with the Library to enhance library services, facilities, activities, and programs for the community. We do this by raising funds through special events. All donations are tax deductible.

A donation at this time would be used for prizes for the Library’s reading programs, supplies and presenters for various Library events, giveaway books for kids and families, and flyers and posters to help promote Library services.

The Friends host many fundraising events throughout the year including the Annual Book Sale in June. Watch for more information about our events and activities on our website at http://www.friendsofdpl.com and on Facebook under "Friends of the Duluth Public Library."

THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for the support that you have shown for this most important of institutions.  It takes a community to support a library and you have shown us that support.
