FreedomWorks is a ReEntry and Aftercare program that provides a comprehensive faith-based program focused on those released from incarceration, leading to life transformation in Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to give hope and support to men, women and families as they reconcile to God, family, and community

In 2018 we moved from a 15-bed apartment building to a campus of 3 buildings and over 150 beds.  We are now also providing affordable housing and programs to people in recovery and seeking stability, support, and a pathway to a new life.  Our campus provides opportunities for recovery treatment, employment, community, service, mentor relationships, and newly developed life skills. In July 2023, we also acquired an additional 44 bed property in North Minneapolis. This property is licensed for higher levels of care and is transitioning to the same program model as our main campus.

In our on-the job training program we operate the Bread of Life food pantry and JailBreakers Catering. The Bread of Life is open to our participants weekly and to the public every other Wednesday. JailBreakers Catering is available to provide meals primarily to our church partners. Both programs are opportunities for our participants to volunteer and develop skills to help as they transition to gainful employment whether with JailBreakers or another employer.
