The Free Clinic of Steele County is

a United Way of Steele County not-for-profit agency. We're a team of dedicated local community members, volunteer providers, nurses and support staff. It's our goal to provide quality, accessible and culturally-sensitive professional health care service at no cost, to uninsured residents of greater Steele County.

Our belief

People who lack insurance or affordable premiums often must choose between basic needs like rent and food before seeking medical care for their chronic condition. It's our belief that with in-kind donations of time and laboratory testing, our patients will feel empowered to manage their chronic disease.

Our services

We serve primarily adult uninsured residents of Steele County and provide chronic disease management (high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, mild depression) and other non life-threatening medical conditions.

Our clinical care team includes health care professionals from different backgrounds, including registered nurses, health promoters, social workers, dental hygienists, medical lab technologists and physicians.
