Foothold Twin Cities is a non-profit organization founded and operated by Minneapolis locals. We provide one-time payment assistance to Twin Cities families facing an urgent need quickly and efficiently when they need it the most. Families work hard each and every day, we're here to help them keep their foothold.

We partner with professionals who work directly with families through referrals and requests for assistance in order to ensure effective use of funding. 100% of donations are distributed to the families in need thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers and founders. 

How We Became a Non-Profit Twin Cities Charity

Terry Walsh and Amber Lampron founded Foothold Twin Cities after a discussion about a family that Amber had met while working in the local education system. The family was in desperate need of fixing their furnace before winter hit, and had very few places to turn for help. As the leader of the bands, The Belfast Cowboys and St.Dominic's Trio, Terry decided to use his music platforms and fan base to host a fundraiser in order to raise enough money to have the family's furnace fixed.

After realizing there was a great need in the community to help other families, Foothold Twin Cities was formed! 

Today, we raise money hosting weekly fundraisers and teaming up with several fundraising partners in the Twin Cities to play music and ask for donations to help as many families as possible.
