Family Voices of Minnesota (FVMN) empowers and supports parents because we understand being a parent of a child with extra needs can be overwhelming – we’ve been there!  The journey is filled with hills and valleys.  Parents often feel isolated and alone while struggling to find and access services their children need.  Families raising children with disabilities must navigate complex systems that require support and guidance from experienced parents. We are driven to ensure no parent feels alone. Ever.

Family Voices of Minnesota is run and staffed by parents who understand. Every staff member and volunteer is a parent of a child, youth, or young adult with disabilities or additional needs. We are committed to making sure that parents know they’re part of a community that genuinely cares.

Family Voices of Minnesota offers a range of supports and services for families across Minnesota raising children with additional needs, including:

• One-to-One Parent Matching: Families connect with a parent who shares similar life experiences or has a child with similar needs.
• Parent Groups: Together, families build community, find emotional support, and gain acceptance.
• Live Chat: Families can access immediate support from knowledgeable, trained parents.
• Educational Webinars: Families stay informed on relevant topics.
• Leadership & Advocacy Training: Parents grow as advocates through family leadership and Volunteer Support Parent training.
