Every Meal: Fighting Child Hunger

Every Meal is one of the largest nonprofits in Minnesota that delivers food directly to children experiencing food insecurity.

PROVIDING FOOD DIRECTLY TO KIDS

Our Weekend Meal Program is designed to reduce barriers to food access by providing children in pre-K through 8th grade with bags of food directly and discreetly in their backpacks while they are in school. Through our network of community and school partners, the program is free for all students with no qualifications required in about 375 schools across Minnesota. 

Your gift will help buy the food and get it all the way into the child's backpack.

ENSURING KIDS ARE FED THE WHOLE WEEK

Monday through Friday, students have access to free breakfast and lunch at school as part of the government-funded universal meals program. What about Saturday and Sunday? That's where Every Meal fills the gap. Our Weekend Meal Program is community-funded through the generosity of donors like you who help us provide free weekend food bags containing approximately four meals that are nutritious, delicious, and relevant to over 11,000 kids. 

Your gift will help feed kids over the weekend so they can show up to school on Mondays ready to learn and grow. 

SCHOOLS ON WAITLIST

We are working hard to make sure the over 11,000 kids enrolled in our Weekend Meal Program in about 375 partner schools have food every weekend through the remainder of the school year. But we have 169 schools on our waitlist. 

Your gift will help us meet (and hopefully exceed) our fundraising goals so we can have more conversations about getting schools off the waitlist.
