EMERGE Community Development

EMERGE’s mission is to reveal the potential in people and communities through skill building, employment, and economic opportunity. EMERGE provides employment, career training and financial wellness services in North Minneapolis and Cedar-Riverside. We also have a powerful history in the field of Social Enterprise, operating businesses that provide people overcoming barriers with jobs and career opportunities. 

Each year, EMERGE empowers thousands across the Twin Cities to pursue brighter futures through access to jobs, financial coaching, career training, and essential services. Our programs are uniquely equipped to support individuals facing significant challenges, including:

• People rebuilding after incarceration or with criminal backgrounds
• New Americans, many of whom are developing English skills or furthering their education
• Single parents overcoming poverty and working to gain independence from public assistance
• Participants seeking career certifications and pathways to living-wage jobs
• Individuals in need of financial guidance for saving, budgeting, or major purchases
• Youth seeking internships, employment, mentorship, and safe spaces to nurture their dreams
