The DSSO’s 2025/2026 season is filled with exciting milestones and unforgettable music. We celebrate Erin Aldridge’s 20th season as concertmaster—an incredible achievement for a truly gifted musician. Erin will be featured in two Masterworks concerts: first as the voice of Scheherazade in Rimsky-Korsakov’s mesmerizing work, and later performing one of her favorite pieces, Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1. Pianist Adam Golka brings his talent to two rarely performed gems: Saint-Saëns’ Africa and Fazil Say’s Silk Road Concerto, a dynamic, inventive piece full of unique textures and effects. The DSSO Chorus and outstanding vocal soloists will join us for powerful performances of Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and Poulenc’s Gloria. Guest conductor William Eddins leads the orchestra and rising star Evren Ozel in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. The season also showcases music from a wide range of composers, from fresh voices like Anna Clyne and Michael Abels to beloved figures such as Liszt, Bizet, Sibelius, and Schumann. Beyond our Masterworks Series, we’re bringing back audience favorites with our Holiday Spectacular in December and an epic live score performance of Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark in April. Whether you're a longtime supporter or just discovering the orchestra, this season offers something for everyone—and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Your Donations

Revenue from ticket sales covers approximately 1/3 of the total costs to run the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra.  While this is typical in the orchestra field, it does present us with the need to ask our community members to support the orchestra and music they love.  Please join our musicians, board, and staff, by giving any amount to help sustain symphonic music in the Twin Ports!

Your money is spent on:

  • Music Performance: Your gift will be used to fund orchestra rehearsals, sheet music, hall rental, and musicians’ fees.  All of these things are essential to bring symphonic music to life for our audiences.
  • Youth Education: In order to build the audiences of tomorrow, the DSSO must reach out to the youth of today. Your gift will be used to fund Young People’s Concerts, the Lollipop Concerts and hands-on instrumental music instruction through the DSSO Youth Orchestras teaching and performances.  Education is also supported by donations that allow us to offer reduced-priced student tickets.
  • Operations: Behind the scenes, a symphony has many needs. Your gift will be used to fund administrative costs—everything from marketing our concerts to buying paper for the copy machine!

Any amount will help enrich the community with music.  Thank YOU!!!
