Cystic Fibrosis Relief Fund

Your contribution provides vital nutrition and other direct support to people who have the lung and digestive disease, Cystic Fibrosis.

About 20%, 1 in 5, children and adults who have the disease, cystic fibrosis go without the quantity and quality of food they need to battle their disease.  Below is a letter we received from one of our recipients telling how our nutrition program made a vital difference in her ability to regain health.

Dear Cystic Fibrosis Relief Fund,

Before I was getting the [grocery store] gift cards for supplemental nutrition, I weighed only 87 pounds.  I was severely malnourished to the point that my body was literally eating itself.  I was starving to death.  My kidneys were close to shutting down and my lung function was down.

My family does not have much money to help provide the extra food that I need to stay healthy and in order to try and keep me at a somewhat stable weight, they would go hungry.  I am so grateful for your help.  My family is no longer going hungry to feed me.  I really don't think there are enough words to describe how important this help is to me.  I honestly don't think I would have been here very much longer if it weren't for you.
