Provided More Support for Pets & People than ever Imagined!
Since the last GTMD, Crossroads received a bit of a "facelift" with a refreshed logo and website, and rebrand of our vet clinic, Crossroads Community Veterinary Clinic. We believe this naming of our clinic better communicates our commitment to providing quality and compassionate care to ALL.
In 2024, we have made a significant impact on our surrounding communities by providing care for over 3,000 animals. This is an increase of 500 animals served from 2023!
Crossroads Community Veterinary Clinic provides access to affordable care that helps to keep pets where they belong - in the homes of the people who love them. Whether it's vaccinations, ear or urinary tract infection treatment, relief from pesky allergies, wound care, blood work & diagnostics, or the ever important spay & neuter services, we are proud to further our mission by offering people a quality and affordable pet care option. As we continue to look for ways to serve the needs of our communities, Crossroads Community Veterinary Clinic, has added a quick scan ultrasound and on-site chemistry machine. Both additions will greatly support our growth and provide clients with more choice and convenience when seeking affordable diagnostic options.
As we look to 2025, the Crossroads Community Veterinary Clinic will continue providing high-quality, compassionate, and lifesaving care. Our goal is to support the growing demand for our surgical and wellness services by hiring additional technicians and a veterinarian.
Crossroads Animal Shelter continues to do amazing work by providing shelter, food, and lots of love and attention to companion animals in need. Providing these animals with a safe place to land along with needed medical services helps make them whole. Since our last GTMD in 2023, we have placed 663 deserving companion animals in loving homes, and apart from 16 puppies, all Crossroads adoptees have come to us locally from areas within Minnesota. Crossroads has a placement rate of 97.2% and we are grateful to be of service to communities throughout Minnesota.
In the past, we have told our story about the important work we do by sharing shelter and clinic numbers and statistics during this critical time of fundraising through GTMD.
This year, we wanted you to hear more about the real-world impact of your donations and support by sharing a story that is very special to every Crossroads employee and volunteer.
Since January 2022, Crossroads has been quietly immersed in a legal battle, fighting behind the scenes for custody of a very special dog who came into our care due to significant injury, domestic violence, and an ownership dispute. Now known as "Astro", Crossroads has provided vital medical and supportive care, attorney representation, and time spent on his behalf in court proceedings, and most importantly, relentless dedication and commitment to his recovery through years of long walks, playtime, and lots of love & affection. It is with much joy and relief, that we announce, Crossroads has just recently been awarded custody of this amazing dog. We are excited to transition Astro to what we hope is his final chapter at Crossroads, finding him a home of his own.
For 1,050 days, Crossroads was the voice for a dog that did not have one. To some, the time and dollars spent to care for, house, and protect Astro seemed preposterous. To us, it was just another day on the job. Astro is more than a dog that needed help, when we look into the eyes of this silly, beautiful pup, we see the hope and promise of a world where compassion and justice lead the way.
The Crossroads team goes above and beyond every day to care for some of the community's most vulnerable animals. There are no awards or shiny gifts at the end of this. The staff and volunteers at Crossroads do this work because of their steadfast commitment to create a more humane world for pets and the people that love them.
We can't do this lifesaving work without the support of generous donors like YOU!
There is truly no donation too small...EVERY PENNY DONATED GOES BACK TO SUPPORT OUR WORK. Please Donate Today and Help Crossroads Create a Bright and Happy World for the deserving animals of our communities and beyond!
