Art brings us together, creating critical opportunities for cross-cultural connections.

Did you know that art is good for our mental health?

Making art can help us relax and reduce stress and anxiety. Making and seeing art can increase serotonin levels and improve blood flow to the parts of the brain that register pleasure. (Source: Mayo Clinic. It's SCIENCE!)

For nearly 25 years, The Crossing Arts has created opportunities for us to connect, share, laugh, learn, and grow creatively with strong art programs in the Brainerd Lakes Area.

This work is powerful and important. 

The Crossing Arts is a community organization, and the support of our community is critical if this work is to continue.

 Your Give to the Max Day gift will:

• Fund Youth Studio Nights as teens and tweens gather after school to paint a mural (currently underway in our new workshop space!), build artistic skills, eat snacks, listen to music, and have fun in a relaxed, safe, creative space while reducing their anxiety and connecting with their peers.
• Reduce adult workshop fees by helping to cover in-house costs related to scheduling and marketing workshops.
• Support living, working local and regional artists who exhibit in the Gallery, sell work in the Gift Shop, and work to develop their skills as part of The Crossing Arts community.
• Provide art education scholarships for youth and adults who cannot otherwise attend art classes at The Crossing Arts.
• Bring art education to community partners such as Port Group Homes, Relationship Safety Alliance, and others to share the healing power of the arts.
• Invest in vital arts programming in Brainerd and the Central Lakes Region. We aim to be a beacon for the visual arts in Brainerd and beyond by building education programs that even reach neighbors in small towns.
