Help us preserve our beloved priory church this Give to the Max Day!

Dear Friends,

Our priory church is the heart of our community.

We gather in the church five times a day to celebrate the Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours, as well as spend quiet moments in personal prayer and reflection. We begin and end each day in the church, praying for your needs and those of the Church and world.

This summer, a confrere came out of the church saying, “The sky is falling!” Well, thankfully, it wasn’t the sky—but a portion of the plaster ceiling in the sanctuary. It was a moment that reminded us how much our beloved church means to us, and how much it needs our care. For years, we patched things up with caulking and super putty. But now, it’s clear—our church needs more than a patch job.

Today, I’m reaching out with an urgent need to preserve this sacred space, and I’m asking for your support on Give to the Max Day, November 21.

The European-style clay tile roof, which has sheltered us for decades, now requires restoration. Over time, water has seeped in, causing plaster to fall, and we can no longer delay the repairs. The estimated cost to restore and preserve the priory church is $52,000.

These are essential repairs, and without your help, we risk further damage to the church that we use daily for the spiritual life of our community.

On Give to the Max Day, your support will bring us closer to reaching our $52,000 goal, ensuring that the priory church remains a place of prayer and worship for future generations. Your support on this day will help preserve the spiritual heart of our community.

I hope you will join us on November 21 to help preserve the priory church.

Thank you for being part of this vital effort. May God’s blessings be upon you.

In Cruce Vita,

Fr. Alex Juguilon, osc
Conventual Prior
