The mission of the Cooperative Development Fund of CDS is to help start and grow cooperative enterprises. We achieve it by educating about cooperatives, providing guidance to new and existing cooperatives, and by helping co-ops access philanthropic resources in their communities through grant writing and charitable contributions. In each of the last five years, the work of our staff has touched over 100 co-ops and a dozen startups in some meaningful way.
Our cost to fully pay for one hour of business counseling to a co-op is $85. Help us to fund a minimum of 40+ hours of free consultation time for start-up cooperatives.
