Cooperative Development Fund of CDS

Where Cooperation is at Work, Communities Prosper!

The Cooperative Development Fund of CDS exists to help start and grow cooperative enterprises. We achieve this by educating about cooperatives, providing guidance to new and existing cooperatives, and helping co-ops access philanthropic resources in their communities through grant writing and charitable contributions. In each of the last five years, our staff has touched over 100 co-ops and a dozen startups in some meaningful way.

This year, we have a goal of $10,000 to fund our work to support those seeking to start or strengthen their co-ops. Our cost to fully pay for one hour of business counseling is $85 and we receive dozens of inquiries every year.  Your gift will expand our capacity to provide free and low-cost consultation to small and emerging cooperatives in our region.
