Greetings Global Family!

We have made great strides this year in our efforts to strengthen and rebuild Concordia Language Villages. We welcomed nearly 3,000 excited, young language learners at the Villages this past summer. Our adult and family programs, which operate year-round, are growing again. We celebrated many milestones this summer, including the dedication of Sup sogŭi Hosu, the Korean Language Village, at its new site on Turtle River Lake, as well as hundreds of alumni joining us for the 50th anniversary of Sjölunden, the Swedish Language Village. While there is much to be proud of, we also face several challenges.

We are focusing our fundraising energy on the renewal of our Village sites. These iconic, culturally authentic spaces play a crucial role in the immersion experience for our participants, bringing the world close to home, year after year. We intend to renew and renovate many of our Village buildings and spaces after decades of happy use by adding modern amenities and upgrades and increasing energy efficiency while still maintaining cultural authenticity. To accomplish this we are asking you, our Global Family, for your help.

Can we count on you to make a gift of $100, $250, $500 or more to the “It Takes a Village” fund for Give to the Max Day?

For Give to the Max Day 2024, the next $5,000 in gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a generous donor and friend of Concordia Language Villages, doubling your impact! Your investment in our program today ensures that we continue to inspire the courageous global citizens of tomorrow!

In 2025, we will celebrate 65 years of inspiring courageous global citizens. From the beginning, our Global Family has supported us by spreading the word to grow our programs, helping to build our Village sites, and providing the crucial resources needed to meet unexpected challenges. We wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you!

Thank you for your Support!

The mission of Concordia Language Villages is to inspire courageous global citizens.
