COFHED

Mission

Communities Organizing for Haitian Engagement and Development (COFHED), previously known as Christian Operation for Health, Education & Development, is a Haitian-led organization that fosters local education, leadership and mobilization so that rural citizens in southern Haiti can sustainably transform their communities. 

COFHED's mission is to partner with marginalized communities in the mountains of southern Haiti to discover, create and realize their own vision of socioeconomic development for lasting transformation.

COFHED  Valuing every member and their capacity to act, we build on the community's existing strengths, resources and skills.  

As community members identify, plan and implement ALL activities that improve their lives, COFHED provides the technical and financial support as well as connections to make their vision concrete.
