Torre De San Miguel, located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is a vibrant affordable housing community where 182 youth and teens not only live, but have opportunities to grow and thrive.

“Home is a place I can feel safe and welcomed at,” says teen resident, Najaha. “Torre has helped me be myself more.”

Shylo and Kevin, Teen and Youth Program Coordinators at Torre, have seen tremendous growth in the young people involved, including positive changes in academics, communication skills, and behavior.

For young CommonBond residents, we offer: 

• Study Buddies
• Homework Center
• Summer Enrichment programming

Enrichment activities include cooking, painting, reading, writing, and going on field trips to sports games, museums, Valley Fair, and much more. Not only that, but with the support of Kevin and Shylo, Torre teen residents have even advocated for their own community at The Capitol! They spoke with legislators about the importance of reinvesting in their homes and invited the state rep to come to Torre to meet the community. Experiences like this help young people understand that their voices have power and can be a source of change in their community.
