So much is at stake.

In 2025, we’ve seen time and again that no one is safe from the impacts of the climate crisis.

Extreme weather events continue to affect communities across the country. Typhoon Halong recently washed away several mostly indigenous communities in Western Alaska. The July 4th floods in Central Texas were catastrophic. Devastating wildfires burned over 230,000 structures in Los Angeles, CA in early 2025. This year’s climate disasters impacted all of us.

Climate Generation is filling a dire need to provide climate change education and resources to educators, students, and communities across the country.

Federal and global leadership on climate action is waning:

  • The White House is occupied by climate change deniers and their policies are rolling back years of advancements in clean energy, ecosystem preservation, and environmental justice.
  • The United States has pulled out of a global climate agreement.
  • Federal agencies and programs that have been providing climate literacy resources, environmental justice action and climate adaptation resources are going dark.
  • In some states like Oklahoma, science lessons shaped by oil and gas industry narratives are being incorporated into classrooms. These lessons include pro-fossil fuel extraction messaging and exclude references to climate change and toxic air and water pollution.

That’s why Climate Generation’s work to empower educators, students, and communities with knowledge about climate change and how they can take action is key to creating a just and abundant future beyond the climate crisis.
